Author Shoutouts H.G. Wells
Author Shoutouts Stephen King

An Author Shoutout to Stephen King who would not object if we shift our Author Shoutout to H. G. Wells, born in 1866 in Bromley, Kent, England. Regarded as a pioneer of science fiction, Wells authored notable works including The Time Machine, The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Invisible Man, and The War of the Worlds. Additionally, he delved into history, politics, social commentary, and even created textbooks and rules for war games.

If it wasn’t for an incident when he was 8 years old that resulted in him being confined to his bed due to a fractured leg, he may not have pursued writing as a passion, as it was during this time that he developed a deep fondness for reading. He lived until the age of 79 and passed away in London due to reasons that were not specified.

Author Shoutouts F. Scott Fitzgerald

An Author Shoutout to F. Scott Fitzgerald, a renowned American writer, who was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. Despite being hailed as one of the greatest writers of the 20th century, his most famous work, The Great Gatsby, did not achieve widespread recognition or success until after his passing. Throughout his life, Fitzgerald battled alcoholism, financial troubles, and a complicated relationship with his wife Zelda, whom he often referred to as his golden girl. Nevertheless, he personified the vibrant spirit of the Jazz Age, a term he himself coined, both in his literary works and in his personal experiences. Tragically, Fitzgerald passed away at the age of 44 due to a heart attack in 1940.
