#PitMad Pitch Party Returns Sept. 2

by Lauren Alwan

For unagented writers seeking representation, be sure to check out the Twitter-based pitch event, #PitMad, where writers tweet a 280-character pitch for their completed, polished, unpublished manuscripts. Sub-hashtags, such as #YA, #NF, and #UF, are added to categorize pitches, and agents and acquiring editors make requests by a liking/favoriting the tweeted pitch. All unagented writers are welcome to take part and all genres/categories are welcome. The next #PitMadTwitter Pitch Party will be held Thursday, September 2, 8AM – 8PM EDT.

#PitMad is a program of Pitch Wars, a mentoring program of published/agented authors, editors, or industry interns who choose one writer each, read their manuscript, and offer suggestions to prepare the work for an agent showcase. The mentor also helps edit their mentee’s pitch and query letter for submitting to agents.
